Golf 2 Golf Ltd –the home of Daily Sports are proud to announce their collaboration with Pink Ribbon Golf as the UK distributor. The now world famous pink ribbon is entering its fifteenth year as the symbol representing the fight against breast cancer and the search for a cure. Originally created by Evelyn Lauder in remembrance of her mother in law Estee Lauder, the famous cosmetics icon who died of the disease, the pink ribbon has come to stand for solidarity and hope for a cure for those affected by the disease. Pink Ribbon Golf® has been launched to support this worthwhile cause and provides a full range of golf accessories of which 10% of the net suggested retail price of all goods sold in the UK is being donated to research and support for families affected by breast cancer in the UK. Pink Ribbon Golf was started by David Drachmann-Sunne an Austrian, who states ‘My vision for Pink Ribbon Golf® is that all money raised goes directly to the Country in which it is raised so that anyone who buys one of our products knows exactly how much and where their contribution to this valuable cause is going to be spent.’ The Pink Ribbon Foundation The Pink Ribbon Foundation (Charity Number 1080839) is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment. The Foundation is impartial and is committed to bringing together individuals, charities and organisations to fight this terrible disease. Every year the Foundation help charities both large and small especially as many of the small organisations rely on donations such as these to keep them going. The Pink Ribbon Foundation has very little infrastructure and relies on the hard work freely given by Trustees (who don’t even claim expenses), interested parties and its Patrons. This is done in order to maximise the amount, which goes to the charities that benefit from the funds raised.
